I am jealous. I live closer to Mt Baker then you do and I haven't taken a picture yet. It is on my to do list that is getting longer and longer every day.It is a beautiful mountain when it is all covered with snow. ~~Hugs~~
Baker looks gorgeous all in white. At least this mountain of the Cascades was named after someone who saw it, unlike most of the other major peaks. I'd like to see the name changed back to the Native name. Excellent capture MB.
Crows do soak food in water. They are not the only ones. So do raccoons and squirrels and lots of other birds will soak food in water. I have to clean out the water dishes two or three times a day sometimes and it is filled with puffy food of some sort they dropped and left.
I love seeing 'your' mountain--especially with lots of snow on it.... So the elevation is almost 11,000 feet???? WOW--what a beauty!!!! Aren't you glad it is YOURS, Mary Beth..
Your fairy is called Columbine Goblindancer She is a bringer of riches and wealth. She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows. She is only seen when the bees swarm and the crickets chirrup. She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.

Beautiful mountain peak! Interesting how it got its name.
It sure is impressive looking, especially covered with snow like that!
Vanity, vanity, all is vanity.
A great sky and a glorious mountain in white. Nice idea to post the plaque.
