March 1st~~~CDP Theme Day

City
daily Photo 1st day of the month theme day is "where do you belong".
I really belong right where I am.  I am happy, having fun, doing things I like to do so I will say I belong right here.
                                                        OR
                                               Right    Here
Up in the tree farm---which is where I live---on the back of a good horse, overlooking Lake McMurray and riding  riding  riding.

This and That

Mosaic Monday will be back on March 7th but mine was already ready---so there ya go.
Different things taken while just driving around.  Lower corner left side--wood carving of a logger rescuing a baby bear seen at Woods Logging where we get parts and repairs on our chain saw.  next clockwise a flooded boat launch on the skagit River and then something---you tell me next--a yard display??-- in lower right corner a bewildered pup who wants to be out chasing cows and then an old farm fixture---either an old water tower or granary.

Remember Theme day for CDP tomorrow.

Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church

St. Mary's is a most beautiful Church in Sprague Washington.  We have attended services there and while the church is special to us the people are even more so.
 The interior is beautiful
There are over 20 floor to ceiling stained glass windows

 Here is the history.

In our Yard

Look who's in the tree at the front of our house
Isn't he/she a beauty.
Right out front.  Two have been flying over lately.  When I am outside they always circle over and look at me while I look at them.
The Evening Grosbeak stay for a day or two---they will be back
The Red-winged Blackbirds are here in great numbers.  The older males have a gorgeous red splash on their shoulders.  This guy must be a youngun'.

And then a fence around this nice farm.  Actually I posted 3 different images and this was the only one that came through.  My computer tries to test me.
This fence is containing these frightening wild animals--watch out
 Railing around Granite Falls---beautiful place
 A used to be fence--oops

Two of my Treasures for Tuesday

My two youngest many years ago
My third daughter Shannon (Kylee's Mom) on her pony at the Fair many years ago.  I think she was 8
And here is my youngest, Jolene, with her pony Mousie.  She was about 4 and loved her Little House on the Prairie dress.  Made by gramma
This is me when I was in the 4th grade.  Now that was MANY years ago.  LOL

The Relic

This barn is/was on the road my place is----so my neighbor
The owners were just going to let it age gracefully
She was beautiful.  Born at the turn of the century--1900
But we had a huge windstorm and the old girl got tipped a bit so for safety sake she was torn down.  Quite sad.  A landmark gone forever.

Birds and Beasts of Skagit Valley

This little guy was hanging out by the bird feeders
One Eagle in a day of Eagles
Trumpeter Swans playing in the mud
Looks like a Scottish Highlander with a coat of different colors and his friend up a stump and a Robin on his back
 Snow Geese
And off they go---with much noise
