Gazanias and Morning Glories

 Gazanias are one of my favorite flowers.  I start them from seed and they always impress and please me.  They are bright and very cheery to me.  They only open when the sun is out so we really hope for sun.
Morning Glory (ipomoea) is another favorite.  I start them from seed also.  You get many colors from one seed packet.  Their centers glow even when there is no sun.

Puppy

My daughter S found this wee pup at the gas station in a pile of old clothes by a row of clothes deposit bins.  She was so tiny and pitiful looking she just couldn't leave her.  It is the sweetest puppy ever.

Fair Time

So next week is the Stanwood-Camano Fair and I need two perfect pictures to enter.  We are also entering some Garlic, hardnecked and soft--nice and huge and some flowers.

She's a Smoking Gun

Wednesday my Daughter  Shannon found her very special horse Jewel (She's a Smoking Gun is her registered name)dead in her pasture.  Shannon has owned and loved Jewel since the horse was a 2 yr. old.   They have worked hard, played and learn much in those years.  Jewel was 18 yrs--perfect age

 She raced her and penned and sorted cows on her and rode her on trails.   Shannon and Jewel were a team. A real cow pony.

Can she bake a Cherry Pie......

 Billy Boy, Billy Boy~~~---We picked these yummy cherries and first I made two batches of syrup and then today made this slab pie.  It is wonderful.

 Also picked Blueberries and made blueberry pancakes--another yum!

 We keep busy outside--watering watering and more watering.

 Lots of containers which I love to put together and we have about 55 Tomato plants plus our other gardens

The Tulalip Tribes:

The Hibulb Cultural Center and Natural History Preserve mission is to revive, restore, protect, interpret, collect and enhance the history, traditional cultural values and spiritual beliefs of the Tulalip Tribes who are the successors in interest to the Snohomish, Snoqualmie and Skykomish tribes and other tribes and bands signatory to the Treaty of Point Elliott. 

 The Tulalip (pronounced Tuh’-lay-lup) Tribes are federally recognized successors in interest to the Snohomish, Snoqualmie, Skykomish, and other allied tribes and bands signatory to the Treaty of Point Elliott. The 22,000 acre Tulalip Indian Reservation is located north of Everett and the Snohomish River, and west of Marysville, Washington. The Tribes maintain an aggressive environmental preservation program, both on and off of the reservation to complement the Snohomish region’s natural resources.  Tulalip provides health, human services, housing, utilities, technology services, education, recreation, entertainment, cultural, and historical activities. The Tribes have over 4,300 members, with half of the members living on the reservation.

Fishing at Neah Bay

.Neah Bay is home to the Makah Tribe since time immemorial.  The best fishing ever.  Bottom fish (Ling Cod, Sea bass etc) Great Salmon fishing and known as the best Halibut fishing in the lower 48.Neah Bay is located in the NW corner of Washington State  in the Pacific Ocean
