Mountains, clouds and maybe a bird.

Click on any picture to enlarge it. MB

Yesterday was beyond gorgeous and even warm and today was nice but the rains were on their way and are here now. I wanted to post just one picture but too many choices for today.

The first picture is of Mt. Rainier this morning at about 7:45AM. the next the Sunrise around the same time just to the left of the mountain. And then as the sky brightened the clouds went crazy. First covering the mountain and lifting and just playing. The fourth picture is of the clouds over the Olympics whish is a mountain range west of me that i can see from the road. they don't show themselves much.

There were strange clouds hovering over us.

While I was out on Fir Island, on the way to the store, a bunch (flock) of Snow Geese came barreling in.

Great shots, all of them. I noticed some pretty neat clouds today too. I managed to get out and shoot for a couple of hours or so today.

That was a "spring tease" we had. Better put that sunshine in a bottle and look at over the next few days. Hope the geese didn't fly directly over your head -:)

These are wonderful. I'm glad you posted the whole series (though I bet there were quite a few that didn't make the cut even though they, too, were gorgeous).

Utterly fantastic. What an amazing place where you live. I especially like those frolicking clouds - reminds me of dolphins playing in the sea.

And the snow geese.

Great job, MB!

I can understand why you couldn't post just one picture. Your sunrise pictures are gorgeous and you got some fascinating cloud formations. And to think you also had some warm weather! No wonder you like it where your are.

The top photo is a sky to live for, MB. I've spotlighted it on my Astoria Daily sidebar :)

I see why you couldn't choose just one. They are all fascinating and beautiufl. I love the lenticular clouds that look like flying saucers. I saw my first one (that I knew what I was looking at) while driving over the Rocky Mountains, and we see them a lot in Bend. Certainly not here.

Beautiful Mary Beth... I love them all.. I understand how you would have trouble choosing just one or two.

And what do you mean saying "MAYBE" a bird.??.. That's a ton of birds. WOW--gorgeous.
Hugs,
Betsy

The last shot with the hundreds of birds was almost unexpected. You said: maybe a bird... Great set of beautiful photos, but the last one was my favorite!

Wow MB, you had a glorious sunrise. Then looks like the clouds were boiling over the mountains. So many changes. And blessed with snow geese too. Nice day and great captures!
