New day, New Month, New Year

The 1st day of every month City Daily Photo has a selection of what to post---the 1st day of the New Year is "A favorite of the Past Year".  So hard to do because every photo I take IS my very favorite photo----so what to do.
A favorite place to go and enjoy nature and hike and take photos is the Mount Baker region.  This photo was taken at Nooksack Falls on the way up to the Mountain.  Now the Falls is to the left of the image I posted so I will post my fav shot and then a shot of the Falls.  I hope that is ok to do

Ok so I really like this previous shot and now the Falls--Nooksack Falls and then you can see how is runs into the river I showed first.---Whew
What does Nooksack mean.......it means Mountain Men, the name given by Indians on the coast to this Salish Tribe.  The Nooksack are a Native American tribe in Whatcom County in the NW corner of Washington State.

Eagles on the River

Went up river to the end of Mosquito Lake Road to see Eagles feeding on Salmon.  My little camera and I do the best we can----the Eagles in trees are on the other side of the river

 Seagull wants it
 Well Marge--whaddya think

Although we have many resident Eagles many come from Alaska and northern Canada to winter over here in the PNW and feed on our rivers

Treasures---indeed

I love this old truck with the Geese driving it.   The other two shots are kinda fuzzy but I will say it was a hot and fuzzy July day in Montana

Monday Murals

This mural is on the outdoor wall of a restaurant right in Stanwood.  It used to be a picture of some cows peeking around.  One day it was this and I know nothing about it.
Interesting though
