Room with a view

I am back.  I have been home since Thursday but thought I'd better settle in for a few days.
I wasn't going to say why I was away but you are my friends too so I thought I might as well.
I was at the hospital have a full knee replacement.  Only so I could climb Mt. Baker again.
I was operated on at 5:30PM on Monday and came home  or I was home by 1:30 in the afternoon on Thursday.  Now the hard work.  Therapy!!!  The nurses said I was very strong and I am very healthy so I should have no problem.  I think I am doing pretty good and Bob is cracking the whip on the therapy.  What a task master he is!!!

 This is looking North from Everett Wa, Where Providence Hosp. is and to the right of all pics is Mount Baker.  Only in these pics you can't see her because of a light cloud cover.  But it is there!!!

So anyway that's that!  MB

New Arrivals

 The Black-headed Grosbeak, Pheucticus melanocephalus, is a medium-size seed-eating bird in the same family as the Northern Cardinal.  Today the Black-headed grosbeak visited for quite awhile also the Evening Grosbeak showed up for a short stay.  I did get a fuzzy picture of him so I am not going to post it.  LOL!!

Super Moon Sunday night

Yesterday I posted a pic of the Moon I took on Saturday night.  It was a cloudy night and a spooky moon.  Last night (Sunday) was very clear so now I have a different image of the same Moon. Huge and yellow---almost like a Harvest Moon.  But not!

 Every year a pair of Canada Geese come back to my pond and raise their babies.  This year 7 little ones.

Bakeries---May 1st Theme Day

 These two bakeries are in the small town of Edison not far from me.  The Breadfarm is well know in the PNW and the other bakery is called Farm to Market Bakery  and has an eating area and as soon as food comes out of the oven you can pop it in your mouth.
