Sauk River Road

Before I continue I just wanted to say that an acquaintance of mine is missing in the Oso landslide.
Her name is Brandy Ward.  Her husband was found and is in the hospital.  A tragic situation.

These pictures were taken On the Sauk River Rd.
This is the Sauk River with Mt. Baker in the background.

Since I am in the picture  obviously it was Bob who took the pic
Awesome age and size.  Makes you wonder why they cut it down.
Makes me look like I am a pin head.  What?  I didn't hear that.

Lovely river, fantastic tree, beautiful woman! This post is a winner!

Perhaps the tree was rotting but that's kinda sad they had to cut it down. I don't know from pinhead but don't some people get at loggerheads with one another?

I'm so sorry about your friends. It's hard to believe such a terrible tragedy can come out of nowhere! Perhaps she will still be found OK?

it is rather sad that it was cut. i do hope your friend will be located - if nothing else, for closure.

I can't imagine how long it took for them to cut it.

I will add Brandy and family to my prayers. I think it makes you look like a very strong woman as it appears to be resting on your shoulders. One big TREE. Peace

That is a huge tree, and Mt. Baker looks very dramatic from that viewpoint.

Hopefully the family will at least get some closure.

Oh my heart just skipped a beat.
I am praying she will be found and her husband will recover.
We have been watching the news each evening, my coworkers are doing a donation to take directly to the victims. It's the best way we can offer help.

Please be safe on your adventures.

Yikes...So sad about that mud slide. Hope they find her and all the others that are still missing.
Stay away from the rivers! Thrill seekers! Sheesh!
