We have had record rains and that of course makes the rivers overflow their banks. the first picture shows the Full Stillaguamish river in Stanwood moving fast. I took that one yesterday.. the next pictures are of the Stilly Valley which is all river now. I took all but the first one this morning. the rivers all around here have crested and should be going down--slowly. I wish the pics were better but I couldn't get any closer. All roads were closed. I posted some other pictures but they seemed to have disappeared--somewhere.
I am going to add this barn one to Tricia's barn blog. http://bluffareadaily.blogspot.com/
To see and hear the Stillaguamish as it roars through Granite Falls go here:

Bad.
The video is amazing.
Now I feel almost like with our simply cold weather...
Wow, that's some flooding, hope it receeds quickly. I like the perspective of your barn shot behind the trees.
Yikes! I had no idea that area was prone to flooding...great pictures, if very scary. I do not like floods. They are so devastating to everything in their path. Just look at that poor ol' barn out there.
I won't watch that video twice.
And yes, it is cold here. Our high should be 72 and low in the 50s. Instead our highs are about 50 (or less) and lows in the low 20s. It's insane!!!!
I planned to play golf tomorrow but I'm going to cancel. Maybe Friday. It's supposed to be back in the 70s on Friday.
Kinda thought y'all would like some sweet tea - you know, what that thar stuff in it.
My goodness sure do hate to see the devastation of flood waters. Hope the water goes down fast.
Dear GOD! I'm so sorry you guys are having such bad floods... and the barn is under water... RIP Andrew? That's a really cool shot, MB, I wonder who Andrew was though?!
You wasn't lying, that whole valley looks to be under water & that house is right in the middle... I seriously hope they got out in time! At least it isn't freezing right now, The Weather Channel shows 45 degrees there now - I'm so sorry, MB!
OMG. I so hope nobody get hurt I see the barn is under water and I think I see some houses too? Be safe and thanks for sharing the photo.
Barn Charm
You must have gotten all the rain we didn't get this year. Your pictures are amazing, and the video is stunning. I hope you stay high and dry.
Woooooo---that video is awesome, Mary Beth... That is some POWERFUL water there.... Can't believe that you all have had that much flooding out there...
Our temp when we got up was 5 degrees. it's up to 7 now---heat wave!!!!! ha
Hugs,
Betsy
I've lived through enough PNW flooding. Stay on high ground!
Mary Beth
I pray there is not as much damage as our May flood. Folks are still trying to recover and some have just walked away and started over. Peace
EW! You have gotten way too much rain!
Oh My! THat is a major flood . I hope everyone is safe. That kind of water that rises too fast is dangerous. Stay safe. Miss a photo is better than having to swim in that kind of current!!!
Looks disasterous. Glad you are on high ground - dangerous to get too close to those situations.
Darla
Wow. We missed the floods being over in Okanogan this past weekend.
Lots of devastation and probably more to come with more rain. I guess the Skagit looks a lot different than when we paddled down it in August. - Margy
Yikes! The predicted floods here, but not much happened. Obviously you got the results.
Glad to know you are safe and sound MB - a lot of power hiding in those flood waters...
Very impreesive shots, MB! The world's gone mad, we were hit by a tornado last week which has devastated more than 30 kms in central Portugal! Awful damages and many injury people but, fortunatelly, no one has died. Can you believe a tornado here?!
I hadn't been checking my blog friends for a few days. This is scary. Sorry to see it running through the old barn.
oh my.I do hope there was no loss of life either human or of the animal kind. my gracious. how often does this happen in your area?
