Mt. Rainier is one of several live volcanoes in Washington state. Doesn't it look like she is erupting right now. MB

Just in time for Christmas!!!!!
From the (almost) very bottom of the World down here in Tasmania, I wish you a very Merry Christmas/Yule/Jul/Winter Solstice/Summer Solstice/Amaterasu/Brumalia/ Deygān/Dōngzhì/Hanukkah/Hogmanay/Jonkonnu/Korochun/Kolyada/koleda/Wren day/Lenæa/Meán Geimhridh/Lohri/Midvinterblót/Modranicht/Mummer's Day/Rozhanitsa Feast/Şewy Yelda/Soyalangwul/Ziemassvētki/Āshūrā/Ras as-Sana al-Hijreya or whatever festival you choose to celebrate!
If you’re opting out this year, have a great time in the next few weeks and keep up the good work!
It is hard to tell where land and sky meet!
Merry Christmas
Definitely not in Iowa! Quite a sight.
I like the ranch horses, too. They must get to run over a large area as I do not see any fences in this image or the image of your grandson on your other blog (and he looks like he is having fun on that sled!).
Always enjoy stopping by and seeing glimpses of your world!
What a fine contribution to Sky Watch, MB!
Always love your Mt Rainier photos. Wishing you and yours the best of the season Mary Beth.
If she's erupting, you might want to think of moving south? To the land of thrift shops where it's hot and dry?
These are such gorgeous shots taken from your deck, with one hand, while drinking coffee...and yes, the cloud formation makes it look like an eruption.
The word I would choose to describe the feeling emitted by these photos is languid. And a languid day is perfect for the eve of Xmas...
Enjoy, and thanks so much for all the comments!
I'll be close by there tomorrow. It would be nice to see it but I will be it will be covered in clouds...again!
Have a very merry Christmas, MB!
What an amazing sight it must be. Have you ever seen it blow its top?
You're right... this sky does make it look like Mt Rainier is smokin'!
All the best of the season to you!
I always love when you put her on the blog. What a beautiful lady. Loved the photo of the horses and you were definitely a beauty at 16. Good shot of the swans too. Peace
Merry Christmas
As I have already said many times, your sky is much more interesting than ours...
Happy Christmas Eve to you and your family!
Hi MaryBeth, your sky is as beautiful as ever! Thank you for your visit on my blog! I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas! Hugs, Maria
Even though I post a lot of colourful skies, I love these subtle ones too. :}
Simply breath-taking!
