Reflections on Camano Island

This is Driftwood Shores looking across Triangle Cove
This is where our friend and cousin lives.  Why they beheaded the trees I'll never know.  This is Triangle Cove in the back yard and Port Susan Bay in the front.  They live on a spit called Driftwood Shores.
And the great view across Port Susan Bay looking at Stanwood and the Cascade Mountains.

A nice set of photos, but the last one is my favorite.

Hmmmmmmmmm. Lovely. I agree with VP, the last one is my favourite too.

Nope, St Louis isn't my neighbourhood!

What a place to live but rather precarious if the waters begin to rise.

Beautiful scenery. If I could choose where to live this might be the place.

This is such a beautiful view across the bay! LOVE the reflection.

Gorgeous, but I would be a bit afraid of the water on both sides.
Love that view though...wonderful.

Seems like you wouldn't want trees blocking views like that. Wow! However, I wouldn't choose to build on a "spit", unless I had a boat to get away. Hmmm... Maybe not even then. Guess I'm not really a water baby. Still, I wouldn't mind visiting. ;)

All shots are beautiful and the still water is just ideal to capture those great reflections.

Holy ... !!! That is a gorgeous place. Incredible waters and mountains! I would wonder, though, about high winds and high water...

What do you mean about beheading trees? I don't see 'em. We behead some trees here every year - like crepe myrtles - and they grow back much bigger and fuller.

Lovely photos, too.

And you don't ask too many questions. Or at least I don't mind. Re your comment on Ocala...I believe what you're seeing in that photo is a "model" home that still exists...it looks like a few homes were built on some hills off to the left out of sight...but this entrance was left to disintegrate and I see no signs of any new construction at all which is fine by me! Hope it never happens!

Thank you for all the information. And in spite of the monster winds and driftwood and your attitude about discussing pruning, I still like it!

Maybe you should come and tell the pruners in Ocala how to do it. Seriously, you probably know more than these characters do...

Do you have crepe myrtles up thataway?

Gosh seeing these makes me miss the ocean...wonder if the storms are worse out in the open on the spit? Lovely shots MB

You are a riot! Beheaded trees and mud flats and cold crepe myrtles...

And yes, I have a question for you: If a tree falls in the forest and there's not one there to hear it does it make a sound?

While you're mulling over that bit of sophistry, have a great Sunday!

Lots of water. Good duck country. The last is a post card version. Peace
