Little Hummer

I know Hummingbirds sometimes hang around all year but I have never seen one after September.  But a few weeks ago I saw one and maybe another flitting about so I filled the feeder and now 2 females come around about every other day.  I am amazed!
And here she is sitting in the Hazelnut tree

Amazing to see one this time of year. It always makes my day to see a hummingbird.

Very cool! Maybe they were just waiting to get some food.

Hello Linda!:) Super sighting and captures of the Hummers. Yes, I'm sure they are bulking up before they leave, but how great to see them at this time of the year.

...they have flown south from here.

These little birds are so amazing. We have some at our cabin that sit up in the tree and "guard" the feeder, running off all others who try to feed. Very territorial

I've not seen any around here yet so maybe you've got 'em all. Cute little critters. Nice of you to give them food, too.

Sweet little birds. I suppose they find your place irresistible and they don't want to head South yet?

Our hummer left us about a month ago. You are fortunate to still have the little beauties. Peace

Beautiful header. The bird feeder is cute and I am sure the birds are thankful for the food.

Wow, I haven't seen one since the end of August. Took my feeder down after so more came by. - Margy

I love hummingbirds. We've had two hanging around lately. To my surprise they are feeding from apples that are still on our tree. The crows peck holes in them and the hummers and bees take advantage of the openings.

I imagine they must be heading south soon.
