W.T. Preston

This is the Snagboat W.T. Preston.  It is in dry storage at a marina in Anacortes--about 20 miles from my house.  It is at the Maritime museum.  To read more about the Preston and snagboats go here

And these are the women that loved the sailors.  LOL!!

Good that it's a museum, too bad it isn't in the water anymore. Lol, mermaids in sneakers!

An old steamer. We still have a couple on the Mississippi for the tourists. :)

Your last picture cracked me up, but I still think the pictures of the snagboat are great. This must be a fun museum to visit.

Beautiful boat. I had to ask George was a snagboat was... Neat!!!! Will this one stay in dry storage --or go back out to 'snag' things????

That would be a neat museum to visit. That last picture was hilarious!!!

Lovely "ladies." Looks like they knew how to give a sailor a good time. - Margy

Beautiful boat shots. So majestic! And the Mardi Gras mermaids (for lack of a better term) in the last shot are hilarious!
