Rain, Rainbow and Sunset

We have set a few records with all the rain we have had in the past few days. We have had more rain so far this month the we usually have in all of September.
We are called the Evergreen State and now you know why.

Click on this pic and you can actually see the rain coming down---even with the sun shining.

The sun broke through the rain and caused a wonderous rainbow.

All this cloudy and rainy weather brought about a beautiful sunset.

I took all these pictures between 6:30PM and 7:05PM

Being still away vacationing I don't like much rain, but I usually love a rainy day or two, even in September.

All great shots, but I think right now I would take the rain.

We've gone from no rain to nothing but rain. A strange year for weather.

Amazing that all the photo's were taken in such a short time and how the sky changes so much and so quickly.

Great series of photos. I wish you could package up the over abundance of rain and ship it to the hill as we sure could use some. At least now I know what it looks like. Peace

Beautiful scenes. I especially love that red-orange sky!

Lovely to see such uplifting views of our rainy season. Sometimes I don't see past the driving rain, so this was a good reminder of the beauty that's the other side of this time of year.

You're weather is certainly different from ours -- we could use some of that record-breaking rainfall. But you did have a glorious sunset.

That sunset is amazing! What with the rainbow and the 'red at night', we have some clear skies this morning!

It's amazing how the weather has changed in 35 minutes! Of course I prefer the bottom atmosphere! :-)

I absolutely love every one of these pictures -- and in that one (the second I think) when I enlarged it I swear I felt raindrops!! the sunset made it all worth it though didn't it?

(Former western Oregonian, so I know about rain).

That's very dramatic weather in such a short amount of time! Maybe I'm glad I'm down here in sunny NorCal!!

All that rain does make it green. And the added bonus is the rainbows and gorgeous sunsets.

Delightful series of weather shots. Rain, sun, rainbow and sunset - it doesn't get much better than that.
