We have had some glorious sunsets even though our daily weather has been only so so. We have had cloudy days but the breeze has been moving the clouds around and we have had some sun and a few sprinkles which all add up to nice sunsets. MB

Yes a true marvel. Thanks for sharing your sky photos. The previous post brings the a saying from a book I read "Clouds are the dust from God's feet." Looks as if it was pretty dusty in Heaven yesterday in your area. Peace
Gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS! I have been too busy to go take sunset pictures... I just look at them wistfully through the window while I'm folding laundry or cooking dinner. Thank goodness you get out there so I can look at yours!
Wow! That's spectacular. In answer to your questions, no we haven't taken another kayak trip yet. If the weather holds out and there's enough water we plan to do the Nooksack River at the end of this month. It may be too cold to do an overnighter. We'll see. Plus between Everson and Ferndale there don't seem to be many private sections. As far as Betty, I haven't heard from her in about a month and she has been pretty quiet online. I head back to Bellingham in a week and plan on trying to get together with her. I'll let you know. - Margy
Your fairy is called Columbine Goblindancer She is a bringer of riches and wealth. She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows. She is only seen when the bees swarm and the crickets chirrup. She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.

I'm speechless! Goodnight MB!
Such a fascinating and strange collection of clouds here. The color is just glorious though!
I hope some of that gold drops down to my back yard. LOL
Your clouds are absolutely amazing, in this case they really look like gold.
Very cool sunset.
Looks like the end of an angry sky day. Very beautiful and great capture of the colors.
I can almost see the cloud rolling around in your capture. When the day is said and done, it's always nice to get a great sunset.
Gorgeous sunset, natures fireworks show!

We've been having those golden sunsets here too! Must be the impending fall season that's bringing them on.
I'm always amazed at what nature can produce. Glad you caught this gorgeous sky! Happy weekend!!!

Beautiful clouds on the previous post but these are outstanding! Absolutely gorgeous shot, MB!
Wow---that is a gorgeous picture and sunset, Mary Beth.

MB, this is an amazing sunset. The clouds are perfect and have so much movement. Wonderful!!!
Great sunsets require interesting clouds. You've got it!
The Midas Touch is a perfect description of the glorious sunset.
Gosh MB that's simply divine. Kudos!

The post title is well named. Lovely gold colours.
That's a pretty intense sky! Your sunsets definitely top ours! Thanks for visiting mine!
This is lovely, MB! And I am jealous. Lately most days have been overcast but the clouds (all of them) magically disappear at sunset. Weird!
Just beautiful! I love the swirly effect. You were there with your camera at the perfect moment.
Meraviglioso tramonto !
