Out in the woods

Mostly Fords but I see a Cadillac and an Overland. It was foggy out and dampy chilly but these seemed to be hardy souls.

Early this morning as I was going down to Stanwood I was greeted by this parade of old cars. I wish I would have stopped one and asked what was going on. They were off the beaten track that's for sure. Nobody around but me and the horses. At first I saw two women walking with Long coats on and very large old timey hats. I wish I had taken their picture. As went I here come all the cars up the hill. There were about 25cars in al. Some of the drivers and passengers were wearing period costumes. I was fun to see.

How fun! EJVig really wants an old, cool car of some kind... but the LAST thing he needs is another project! We'll just have to admire other peoples' old cool cars for now.

What a delightful morning parade. Looks like it's a bit chilly with all those jackets and hats on.

It must be a lot of fun to ride in these cars! The drivers and passengers look well-covered at least.

I especially like the ones dressed in time period outfits. What a great sepia picture one of these would make.

How neat to see so many old cars out on the road at the same time. The fact that some of the people are in period costume is a wonderful bonus. Thanks for sharing this great catch with us.

Another example of why you should always carry your camera! The mist definitely adds to the pictures!

Those are wonderful old cars. We have lots of old cars here in Powell River. They bring them out for parades and "Cruising the Dub" during the summer. But none of them are that old. Looking forward to our get together. - Margy
