Go Green........................Mosaic Monday

This is why Washington is called "The Evergreen State".

I took these pictures and many more up in the North Cascade in the little company town of Newhalem. The town is owned by Seattle City Light and is occupied by workers and their families who work on the dams.
It is a wonderful educational town. The Trail of Cedars is a mile walk with a zillion things to learn about the woods.

I thought the moss grew only on the north side of the tree. I guess I'm lost.
Click on the collage to get a better view.

Wonderful mosaic. I too am fascinated by moss growing on branches often forming beautiful shapes.

This is the first mosaic I have ever liked. Normally they are too confusing for my eyes.
This one is so harmonious and enlarged it is a gem.

I finally had a chance to get on Blogger - we are on our way from WA to GA, so internet is skimpy. Your pictures are beautiful, as always. We will be sure to take the hike in Concrete the next time through. The shots of the bridge at LaConner are wonderful.

I will look forward to posts from home while we are in Georgia this winter!

Ah, yes! I can see why Washington is the Evergreen State. It's beautiful, but you knew that!

It looks like your roots go deep into the Washington soil!

Tres bien, MB! I hope, seeing as how you were lost, that you found your way out of the woods safely, and did not meet any mama bears with cubs on your route!

Re your comment on Cedar Key: No, we did not take the Coconuts cruise, but we have taken a sunset cruise out of Cedar Key some years ago...great fun!

what a lovely job you have done with the moss. I have some to add to you, I don't use my garage, and outside it is lots of moss.

I would love to check out this trail, looks very inviting. I have only been to that area once I think. Is it by Diablo Lake? If so, that was an insanely pretty lake. I've never seen anything like it before or after.
