The Backside of Baker

Usually we see Mt.Baker from the west looking east but we decided to skirt the lady and see what she looks like from the other side.
We are up about 4500ft standing on a ridge looking across to the mountain.  The second picture shows where we are.  That is Baker lake looking way down.

And a picture of our usual sight of the mountain.

see the bite out of Baker is on the opposite side as are the smaller humps.  Looks way different, I think.  Funny, huh!

We had some really great views of Mt. Baker from our anchorage at Sucia Island last night. We traded our Skagit kayak trip for a cruise up the coast. Maybe next year the river will be more settled in August for us. - Margy

Good to look at the world from different angles. Used to love to go play at Baker Lake and hotsprings when I went to school in Bellingham. Thanks for sharing these.

What a wonderful lens you must be using. I love both angles and I'm glad you got to see the other side of the mountain. :)
