Saturdays Critters
Great Horned Owl.
He lives in a tree in my Daughter's backyard. I think he is sleeping.
Great Horned Owls are great and fearless hunters.

Wow - amazing capture!!!!
Hooooooo do you think you're kidding? Hoooooo do you think you are taking pictures of me, a GREAT horned owl?
I love owls. Sometimes. Keep your cats inside, though.
marvelous!!!
He may be sleeping, but these are marvelous photos.
I do! I do! We have an owl around here as well, haven't been able to track him or could it be her? down but I hear it!
What a gift to have in your yard and beautiful photos!
Happy Holidays to you,
artmusedog and carol
ps. doesn't look like he 'gives a hoot'.
He looks quite comfortable.
What a great neighbor critter! I wish we had one around. I don't think I've ever seen one in the wild.

Oh, very cool! I would love to have a resident owl.
I like your fun header.
The owl buddy. I think he's a she. The females are bigger. And she's pretty big. I found a cool rodent skull in the poop! Lol! Just helping out the cats! :)
They are such neat neighbors. So lucky to have one near. We have a pair that live somewhere between our house and the river and I love it when they are blocks away from each other at night, chatting.
I never get to see owls so this was very neat.
So cute! He does look sleepy.
What a gift to see - I always love seeing owls...their silent flight and the way they look at you, just takes my breath. Thanks for sharing!
