I really like your picture of the red-winged blackbird. Your photo of his harem probably explains why he was singing so lustfully.
Proof that females cannot resist a crooner! (What sound like a shrill cry to our ears must sound all together different to a female red-winged blackbird.)

I love to see the different birds that you have in your area. I'm listening to a Grackle...not my favorite by a long shot. He's taking a bath in the bird feeder and splashing out all the water.

Why is it that the female of the species is so dull and drab when it comes to red-winged blackbirds? I dunno.
It's nice that you provide food for all this little critters and that they pose so nicely for your camera.
By the way, does Bob have horns like Bob the goat? Hmmmm?

We have Downy's --but the Hairy's won't come to the feeders... Beautiful birds.

I love your birdies! The red wing blackbird song is one of my favorites.

Great shots of your backyard birds! I think the female Red-winged Blackbirds are prettier than the males myself. The Chickadee is definitely cute but are you sure your woodies aren't Downy Woodpeckers? I see a black spot on the outer tail feathers of the male and they both have fairly small beaks.
Great collection of yardbirds. I especially love the chestnut chickadee and the pine siskin.
