I think this is being used by a gang of cattle rustlers...and they knocked out some boards from the door so they could see if a posse should try to sneak up on 'em.
Nice photos, MB. I want that wagon wheel in the first photo. That is a wagon wheel, right?
I really like the style of barns you have in Washington, maybe because they are so different from the ones we have here.
I'm not sure if I wished you a Happy New New Year or not. (What's left of my mind has got up and went...as the saying goes.) All the best in 2012, MaryBeth!
Hi Mary Beth, Love that barn ---and the setting is awesome. I'd love to have that mountain behind my back yard (instead of a golf course). ha Hugs, Betsy
OMGoodness.....This is a WONDERFUL barn. What a fabulous find. Bet it has lots and lots of great stories to tell. The landscape around it is so striking. Love this post. genie
Beautiful... Is it posted "No trespassing" ? I'd be wanting to get close, and closer, looks like there is some gorgeous texture in the fading paint and weathered wood, loose planks and all !
Your fairy is called Columbine Goblindancer She is a bringer of riches and wealth. She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows. She is only seen when the bees swarm and the crickets chirrup. She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.

Barns have such character. There seem to be so few new ones. Country life must have really changed. - Margy
