Winter Visitors

 Skagit Valley is winter home for many different birds.  Some of these great birds are 1--Bald eagles although we have many year round residents. 2--Trumpeter Swans and 3.--Snow Geese.  they start showing up in the Fall around October.  The swans and Snow geese come from Siberia and Wrangle Island and the eagles from the  North too.

This one looks like they are staring at me as I am taking their picture---I guess they are.  and for some reason I cannot enlarge this one.

This one cracks me up.  That one in front looks like he/she is squatting in a hole peeking out.

They just wander around--munching on grass and stuff.  They really like grazing in potato fields

Here is a tree full of Eagles and a nest.  The most Eagles I counted in this tree was 47 but that was a few years back.

Well I am back for awhile----who knows.  No rain but stormy clouds

These shots were taken today all within about 20 minutes or less.

Our little Fir/Conway Church--usually Mt. Baker is overshadowing the area but the clouds say --no peeking.

 First off I am thankful that God allowed me to wake up bright and shiny this morning.

Signs

 Sprague is a sweet little town in Eastern Washington.  It was platted in 1880 and today has around 450 citizens.  And here are a couple of neat sights to see.

Moving on

 Christmas has come and gone and next for me is the Valentine Swap.  I have been doing this swap with the same group--plus and minus.  And then Spring and growing in the greenhouse and watching the Tulips coming up.

Creating cards are fun and this swap is about making cards like we did as kids and mine really look like a kid did them.

Winter Flowers

 It is always nice to seem some color in the garden in winter.  Here's what I see

My Hellebores are blooming wildly.  My Pink Frost is budded up and ready to bloom

Pussy Willows are popping up everywhere and my Primroses are blooming too---oops I forgot their picture
