The Toppenish Murals began in 1989 with the inaugural mural titled “Clearing the Land”. The idea was formed when state seed money was distributed to small communities in correspondence with the State of Washington’s centennial celebration
These murals are mostly on sides of buildings but some cover windows---Lots of fun to find

...the one on the sign is wonderful.
Historical murals. How interesting.
I like the middle one of your three. How many are there in total?
Fabulous, my favourite is the first one.
Thanks for participating :)
Great murals! Oh, my, must´ve been hard times.
Lovely
Wonderful murals! I like the cattle best.
Have a great week!
Wow, these are beautiful murals. Happy Monday, enjoy your day and week ahead.
Oh I loved our tour of the Toppenish murals. We had some family living in the area and also our first RV was made in Yakima so when we had it in for the obligatory warranty repairs we drove all around the area . Toppenish was fun. Here in Eugene, the Arts Commission is trying to beautify the city by commissioning murals and we dislike almost every one of them. We have said we wish they would do something like Toppenish and show some of the area history. Ours here are all modern art and pretty bad art at that (imho).
Wow----those murals are AWESOME..... I love them all, but the last one (on the sign) is amazing....
Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Betsy
