The Fair is one of the largest Community Fairs in the U.S.-----Not state or county just the community. A nice honor.
This is the building where the adult photography, crafts, paintings ,produce etc goes.
Where we took our pictures. You are allowed two photographs--any size mounted or framed. We each entered two.
The grounds are getting packed with "stuff".
The carnival is going up
The booths with the impossible games
I loved the title of this food cart.
I brought one of the ladies a Chocolate Sunflowers because she had not ever seen one or even knew they existed.
The 4-H and FFA kids and animals will show up probably Thursday or Friday morning. It will be a jam-packed busy place come Friday afternoon. It is 3 days of fun with animals, carnival, entertainment, old tractors and new too. A threshing Bee with old time equipment----just a good time for everyone.
Tee-shirt contest winner logo.
Bob and I entered some Garlic too. The are huge and beautiful and smell so good.
I will post the pictures we entered after the fair. I wanted to enter this Eagle I took last week or so . I had a hard decision and opted to show another.

Argh why can't they do it in September?! :-)
The eagle pic is marvellous.
Take away is England English for take out.
Our state fair starts soon and ends on Labor Day.. I love the Chocolate Sunflower, gorgeous!
Oh now that looks like my kind of fun. Good luck on the pics and garlic but I know it will not matter you are going to have loads of fun. Wish I was there. Hug B
have fun and good luck!
Looks wonderful. I'd spend many hours there, I'm sure. Good luck on your garlic and your beautiful eagle painting. It's hard to decide on a photograph when you have so many good ones, right? Have fun!
Wow--what a fantastic fair...That community fair must be extremely special to all in the community.. To be better than county or state fairs really says a lot!!!! Neat!
Love your Eagle photo... Can't wait to see more of what you and Bob entered...
Hugs,
Betsy
Love county fairs. Ours start in earnest in September, when the cool weather hits.
Ours tend to take place in September as well. I wonder what you've entered... that eagle pic is brilliant.
It looks like the community fair is going to be fantastic. My hometown hosted one of the largest county fairs in the Midwest, and I was there (as a 4-H member) every day of the run. I can hardly wait to see the photos you entered. The one that didn't make the cut is fantastic.
This looks like so much fun to attend, and enter items. Want to see the huge garlic too.
It's fun to attend country fairs. I don't think I'll be going to any this year as my husband doesn't have the stamina yet. Oh well!
I just love local fairs and farmers markets. For some reason, my garlic didn't grow this year. Maybe it didn't like the new location or pots. I'll go back to the old location for next year. - Margy
