Two-fer-one

Two barns today.  One still used and one so sad by the side of the road.

This barn is in  Stanwood.  No more cows and all the fields are used to put up hay.
This barn is beside highway 20 waiting for someone to rescue it.  When they widened the road a few years back is became obsolete.

Do the Gallywumpus on over to Tricia's place www.bluffareadaily.blogspot.com to see more charming barns.  Enjoy!!

Those are both impressive structures! I like the natural look they both have. Too bad the second one is no longer used.

Both good looking barns, but of course the first is more appealing. The two barns are very similar. They could almost be before and after photos, with the after taken on a sunny day with blue sky, and the before photo taken on a cloudy dreary day.

I love the BIG Barns. You know the owner was a farmer with a lot of crops and he was hard working. Just lends a touch of Americana to the thought.

A "two-fer." Nice. I like the first barn but the 2nd, as you said, is just sad. What's with the star - is that a Masonic thingy? Do you know? Don't kid me, now. OK?

So how's ye old leg?

So very fascinating old barns. Very different from the ones over here, where I assume 99% are painted red and without these kind of roofs.
