So pretty+++random morning shots

Found this guy near Coulee City, WA. on the way to HS Rodeo. I cannot find out what he/she is. Looks like a Western White (Pontia occidentalis) but the markings are much darker and the color of the body is different. Does anyone else know? Oops__
Kylee has to use the computer--I'll be back.
So I am back and I just took Kylee to school and saw the sun trying to break out from the gray sky and THEN there was icy cold Mt. Rainier glowing in the distance.
So.......................

Yes, the flutter-by is very pretty... but it's the mountain I LOVE to look at. Mt Rainier is such a majestic looking mountain. Very cool!!!

Yep, I colect butterflys books since I was a child, must be the only thing I ever collected, but as usual I don't know the names of any buterfly. LOL

I think trying to identify some butterflies is frustrating - a few varieties seem to vary quite a bit!

It's a very pretty one, whatever it is!

What great shots! Especially love the one with the sun trying to peek through, nice diversion too.

It's so funny that we live in the same state and i wake up to sunshine and you wake up to -no sunshine. It's a good thing your surroundings are so beautiful even on a cloudy day.

I found a similar one: Checkered White Pontia protodice. But i think both Checkered White
and Western White can have different body colors in different seasons.
