Today it is raining

But yesterday was just perfect--mid 70s, sun shining, light fluffy clouds and wonderful fresh air.
The potatoes in the fields are blooming.  In August after determining that the spuds are the right size and not wanting them to grow more they either mow off the tops or burn them off.
--harvest in October.

The Skagit River comes out of British Columbia and travels down the state of Washington angling through Sedro Woolley, Burlington, Mount Vernon and Conway There it forks and goes west and south to Stanwood and on out to Skagit Bay and on to Puget Sound
Some people were enjoying the river in Mount Vernon

Yes it is raining today and the sky is gray.

Beautiful sights and scenes, MB. Love that river which adds so much to the communities through which it passes.

Now that is a crop we don't see in Kansas! We enjoyed seeing them grow in person in Idaho a few years ago. The other photos are beautiful, too. Have a great weekend, MB!

Let's send our rain over to Tom. I'm getting mighty tired of the way the weather switches around so fast - I need some long sunny days so I can paint my china cabinet. Lovely photos - I really like it when the potatoes bloom, and when they dig them, and when I eat them.

I'd almost commit serious crime for a few days of 70ยบ weather!
