On the outside--looking in--through the screen
Helloooo
I must make myself pretty
Here I amI was going to post some more pics of my North Cascades road trip but then I met up with THE BIRD. My g-daughter, Kylee (14) who lives with me was telling me about this bird that kept pecking at her bedroom window. I just said 'oh' and then I heard BANG BANG on the upstairs window. We rush upstairs and there, hanging on the outside windowsill was this silly bird. BANG BANG! There are Sycamore trees right there and the bird would peck on the window fly over to a tree and preen himself and back to the window. I don't know if he saw his reflection and fell in love or saw all the bright colors in the room and fell in love or just what.

This pretty sapsucker gives a whole new meaning to the expression "bird brain." ;-)
Taking the shot through the screen sure adds an interesting effect to the photo. I LIKE it.
Hes a pretty one.
Love it!! He's calling your attention for some reason. Let us know when you figure it out!
He sure is a pretty bird. I hope he finds what he's looking for.
You call him "Crazy Bird" I know someone else who will be a "Crazy Bird" if he keeps knocking on that window!!
Have a quiet and fun filled day;)
Haha, your grand daughter must be delighted!
Very funny story! What a beautiful bird!

Birds are just bananas. The more I take their image, the wierder i realise they are.Great post.
This is the right case to say, like you today, AW-AW-AW-AWSOME!!!!
;-)
Did Hitchcock write this script? Crazy behavior, indeed!
That brat is curious!
Fantastic series of shots of that beautiful bird. Is his name "Lawyer"? (Sapsucker...lawyer, any difference between the two?)
To fog or not to fog: that is the question.
Re your question Chez Louis, it was a grand struggle, but the sun prevailed. :-)
Yay! So it's confirmed. I have a woodpecker hanging around my house and, after studying picture after picture I was 90% sure it was a red-breasted sapsucker. Now I can say for sure! We've christened him "Woodrow," a bit more dignified than "Woody."
