I took this picture today early evening--6:10 PM from my deck--looking South. this is my view from my bedroom and the whole front of the house. The weather today was very warm --70s--(that's warm here)--and slowly it became overcast and low clouds rolled it. It is supposed to rain tomorrow. Rainier hadn't been out all day when suddenly there it was--very faint and just hovering. This is Mt. Rainier (elev. 14, 410 ft) it is an active volcano and puffs occasionally.
If you click on the pic to enlarge it you will see a bird up to the left and who knows what else.

You have a wonderful view, very beautful. We are suppose to be in the upper 90s today.

I would love to wake up to that scene and have a cup of coffee on the deck. On a clear day, I bet you can see forever. Peace
Rainier has always been a magnificent mountain to me. Thanks for posting another photo of this superb peak.
Jim is right; what a view!
What a lovely panorama you have just outside your bedroom!
What an awesome sight MB. Just outside Vancouver there are times one gets a view of this majestic mountain.
Thanks for the visit....you said your sister lives in Kelowna....and talked about the fire a few years back...are you talking about the fires where the famous tressles were burnt...I was up on holidays there that year...had just finished riding the tressles the week before 14 of them went up in flames...it was a terrible year all around the Okanagan for fires...every where we went there were fires or threats of fires...yes it can be very scary...
Great blog you have here...thanks for stopping by mine and for leaving a comment....cheers! Oh and I see you know Janice...she has a great blog as well...I am in good company here..all the best
With such a view, you would want to leave the bedroom?
Fantastic view.. I can well imagine all the chages you must get.. on a clear day it must be awesome.

Yay! The mountain is out!
Wow, do you have an amazing view where you live! I'm envious :)
Wow! I would love to have your view!! Thanks for sharing it with us.
I did enlarge the photo and saw the bird and also that oft seen halo or cap or lenticular cloud above Ranier. It's been a joy, MB, to see how well you have captured it from your place in its different moods so many times.
