Birthday Boy Bingo

My boy Bingo is 10 years old now.  He is a gray haired old man now but like the rest of us still thinks he is a youngster.

Bingo as a 8 week old pup.  He is mostly  American Staffordshire Terrier, his mother was part Rottweiler---a small part

 Here he is today and...

 ,,,here he is with his Geezer glasses on.

 He is and has been a wonderful pup and I hope I have him for a long long time

Boulder River Trail

Yesterday we went on a hike to the Boulder River Trail.  Mainly to see Boulder Falls.  There are several falls on the trail---some named some not named.  and some are given several names---But we enjoyed!
We start off on the road to the trail head: 3 1/2 miles on a primative road---not bad except for massive chuckholes that are unavoidable--bouncy fun.

 The trail itself is easy at times and at times NOT!  Vegetation is very lush

 Huge oldgrowth Cedar and large stumps now being nurse trees

 Sometimes the trail is rough and on the edge and it is a looong way down--my camera has no perception to show you

 We did find THE waterfall and some way far down along the river.  This twin waterfall was all the way across the deep and steep canyon and there are places where you can slide on your bottom to try to get to the river and falls---opted out on that

 I tried a video---I don't think it worked

Outside at Night

The last few evenings we have had a full Moon.  It is getting sliced off now.  It is called Thunder Moon or Hay Moon.  I can relate to that.  all around here haying is being done.  I love it and it smells good too. Beautiful warm days and best of all no rain.

Pretty potato fields

Skagit County maintains one of the largest and most diverse agricultural communities west of the Cascade mountain range.

Agriculture is the No. 1 industry in Skagit County. Local farmers produce about $300 million worth of crops, livestock, and dairy products on approximately 90,000 acres of land. Over 90 different crops are grown in the County. Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, tulips, daffodils, pickling cucumbers, specialty potatoes, Jonagold apples, and vegetable seed are some of the more important crops in this maritime valley. More tulip, iris, and daffodil bulbs are produced here than in any other county in the U.S. Ninety-five percent of the red potatoes grown in the state of Washington are from Skagit County. In addition to food and fiber products, agriculture in this region provides habitat for thousands of swans, snow geese, and dabbling ducks

Big Lake is a very long lake not far from home.  when my grand daughter was little she thought the lake should be called Long Lake because as she said it was VERY LONG.!.---end of story
