Part of the boardwalk
The observation tower
The amazing disappearing Blue Heron.I visited Tennant Lake last Sunday. It is actually called Tennant Lake Interpretative Center. The lake is a shallow lake surrounded by extensive wetlands, fields and forest. The Interpretive Center is in an old farmhouse built in 1906 and donated to the county in the 1970s. There are trails, a place to slip in a canoe, a 50 ft. observation tower and a beautiful fragrance garden. The trek through wetlands is all boardwalk. the boardwalk twists and turns through a marsh teeming with plants and wildlife.
