A treasure

This is my Betty Crocker cookbook I got when I first was married.  My Mother-in-law saved up her green stamps  (I hope I am not dating myself) and got it for me.  As you can see it is well used and loved.

I went on etsy and found another--first edition same year---egads it was 50 bucks but I got it and retired my old one and have it's clone

We all have that favorite cookbook, mine is a BC too but not this old, lucky you!

My wife has one too, she got it in the 80s. It must have been very popular and probably still is.

A well used book! That's great that you still have it.

Think we have a copy of the same cookbook, but it might be a slightly later edition.

My Betty Crocker cookbook is a 1975, but my Better Homes and Gardens is a 1969 and looks a lot like your old one, well used.

Mine is not quite that old...and not falling apart that bad, but it has aged. I cannot think who got me mine. I feel like i have had it all our married life.

Wow … that well-worn book is proof of the many recipes you put together over the decades to feed the family. Your mother-in-law was smart to give her son an excellent cook with one single book.

I remember green stamps. So much fun to save them to "buy" things. Love the cookbook. What a treasure!
