It rained most of the day and the sky of course was gray and I was gloomy. Went to the hardware store and saw the Trumpeter Swans in a harvested corn field and they raised my spirits.
So here are swans and a gloomy sky.

Sometimes rain and gloomy days are good because you really appreciate the sunny ones...that's quite a difference between your place and eastern Washington. And I do like that sunset with the tree etched into the sky.
P.S. Congrats on living in a state that really came through this last election! Maybe there's hope for the rest of us?
We're out in Abbotsford and hoping to see some swans ourselves.
