Pine Siskins are small, streaked, yellow-tinged finches. Their bills are
slimmer than those of most finches. Males often have yellow
wing-stripes and tails, although the yellow is highly variable. Like
other finches, they have notched tails. Their wings are relatively long.
We had a huge flock of Pine Siskins flock to our feeders today.
They flitted all over the place
So I put some seed in an old hanging basket and they went crazy

Love the close ups of these little birds
I agree with Margaret, beautiful close ups. At certain times of the year, but I can't remember when, we get Zebra Finches I think they are here in Tasmania. They often show up pecking about on the lawn when it's been freshly mowed.
Hello, the Pine Siskins are sweet birds and one of my favorite birds. They do love the feeders. Great shots!
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy weekend!
We have several feeders in our garden too, and it is always such a pleasure to see birds coming.
Nice photos!
We don't see pine siskins every year but I'm hoping this is one of the years that they do come out=r way, They are sweet birds!
If you feed them, they will come. How do you know so much about birds? I can tell the difference between a bird and a squirrel but that's about it! :)
They're cuties
There is an awful lot of them! Do they sort of take over feeders like the starlings do? Probably not big enough to scare off other birds.
Can't wait to get started making my feeders when I get home tomorrow. - Margy
Sweet! I like that light-weight seed feeder, too.
I had one which was perfect to hang from the branch by the deck next to the suet feeder, until El Raccoono finally destroyed it.
