Old Timey House for Rubbish Tuesday

Anything old whether in decay or still used for the meme Rubbish Tuesday
My contribution is a beautiful old home on Pleasant Ridge just west of here.
The Parsonage is an 1894 Victorian home first used for the pastor in a Swedish church community. Now a non-smoking B&B. The remains of the original church are now part of the gardens.
 It is a beautiful place
This old school is found behind the Parsonage
Pleasant Ridge school was built in 1891 and served the community for 38 years/

It seems lots of Swedish and Norwegian people settled in the northwest and BC. Probably similar surrounding helped make them feel at home. - Margy

gotta share this...in a recent manuscript, I repeatedly wrote bread and breakfast throughout the entire novel (several characters out of state, staying in b&bs). Did my editor razz me, let me tell you.

Gorgeous structure! Probably a big grander than most parsonages. Were these German Lutherans or Scandinavian. I know a lot of my Swedish/Norwegian relatives landed out in the PNW.

How sweet of you to mention my pot, MB. This is a lovely old place, perfect for Rubbish Tuesday - although nothing about it is rubbish. The old school is interesting too and I would LOVE to see what it looks like inside.

Very nice finds. The old parsonage is perfect for a b&b. I hate seeing old buildings falling down, but if improved, takes away the history.

Oh you sure know how to capture them at their very best. What beautiful settings in all of them.

What an appealing looking house. Both house and school are another, more gentle era, but wouldn't want to go back there. Life was often hard then.

It's quite a pretty place.

Oh the old school is a thing of the past isn't it. Compared to the charmer.
