MY OTHER BLOG--TAKE A CHANCE

Friday, October 30, 2020

Well I did finally come back and I/we did go to the mountains.  Mt. Baker to be exact.  It had snowed up there last week so I was hoping to get some snowy pics.  Alas, the mountains were shrouded in clouds and most of the snow had melted.  Couldn't see Baker but Mt. Shuksan across Picture Lake played peek-a-boo among the clouds.

So here we go heading down the road

Looking at the hills along side the road
Chains would be fine if there was any snow.---Look at the moss on the trees--not just on the North side but all the way around
Mt. Shuksan peeking at us
Checking out the Nooksack River

Clouds swirling everywhere
A tiny sprinkling of snow
Across Picture Lake there is a Mountain behind the clouds
PEEKING!!
Bright reds
This is Mt. Shuksan and Picture Lake take in September---still not much snow

Fall

Fall is upon us out west here.  It is getting colder at night and even during the day.  Snow up in the mountains and hills a bit lower too. The leaves are falling but some are changing to brilliant colors.

Staghorn Sumac---so pretty with it red candles

I love this shot.  It is taken down in the Valley looking west up into the hills
This shot was take at Beaver Lake right next to Clear Lake
While I took all the other shots this one with the snow was taken by Ryan Ditch.

Sky Watch

Our weather the last few days has been---well pretty Fallish.  Rain overnight, overcast in the morning and then sunny yet cloudy the rest of the day.  I took these cloud shots yesterday as we were driving south on the freeway from Mount Vernon to Conway and the last one just before sundown at golden hour---looking east from our deck.

Lotta clouds here----I am fascinated by clouds---all clouds

Cabbage or Kale coming up---it will winter over and then let go to seed and then the seeds will be harvested

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful every day to shout out "thank you Lord for another day".  We have been having such Fallish weather.  Rain at night and early morning and then pretty sunny days.  Today was no different.

Always fun to be outside

We are going to the Dogs

 No birds today---just dogs

Jacky and friends

Bob's grand-daughter came over and bought her doggies with her to play with Jack.  Griz is a rescue and is only 6 months old

What breed of dog do you think Griz may be and look how big he is already
Here they all are running out to the back pasture with little Layla bring up the rear
Here is Kylee's dog Klyde and friend
I have posted Shannon's horse Beep before and everyone asks why is she named BEEP.  I see the Road Runner on her face.  Do you?
