A Beautiful Day

Well it is snowing out now---11Pm but today we were out looking for Eagles---they are on the rivers looking for Salmon.  We found bunches---To be on Saturday's Critters---but today the sky.

Outdoor Wednesday

Things you see when you spend some time outdoors.  And hey it's fun too.
We have many birds that winter over here in the valley.  .  There are many resident Eagles and some are just tourists and they go back way up North in March or so 

 The Eagles are fun to go looking for

 This tree is one the Samish River in Edison

 Many Eagles rest in this tree and one ambitious couple built this nest

Visiting Trumpeter Swan

 In the Fall and Winter Months Trumpeter and Tundra Swan come from the far northern parts of Alaska to winter over in our Valleys.  The stay in British Columbia's Fraser Valley and as the forage dwindles and the air gets cooler they move South to Washington

This barn is at rest for sure.  The brambles are starting to take over.  It served it's masters well

Two Eagles

Spotted these two on a drive through the Valley

 It all started when a young handsome Eagle landed in the farmer's field and immediately spied a a charming damsel but not in distress

 He thought he'd fly over to her

She gave him a 'come hither' look

 He knew he was in---he stroked his feather beard and said' all this is mine'---she quickly backed away

Winter Greens

Well I don't have too much Christmasy green stuff--except the grass which is always green--- around yet but here are a few I can find.
