Typical look

A dark and brooding sky. Although we have had snow the past few days---wet and gray is the norm. Our snow is gone overnight and the pond is full and waterfall roaring. Post that another day. Enjoy the rocky beach.

View to the south

This is Mt. Rainier--I think the second tallest Mountain in the US, or lower 48 anyway. 14,800ft

She is a beauty.

Small city--Big town

Stanwood, Wasington is in North-Western Washington. It is a small farming community but started out with logging and fishing. It started out as a trading post in 1864 . It is bordered by the Stillaguamish River and Skagit Bay at altitude 5 or pretty close to sea-level. I live North and East of the town at about 900ft altitude, so you can see the hilly nature of western Washington.
