My pond*********Mosaic Monday

This is a natural pond on my property. It starts with a creek that runs into it and a small waterfall that runs out. Then it goes underground under one pasture and comes above ground in the woods--and off it goes. It is full of Koi that are getting huge and have been in there for years. I don't have to feed the fish because of the viability of the pond. It is a favorite place to sit and relax.

Lovely mosaic, MB/ How nice you can keep koi year-round in your pond. It must be a few feet deep. How large in acres is your property? I'm impressed that you have a waterfall. ;-)

I need to read through a few posts to catch up. I've been away for a few days in Upstate New York and feel I've missed a bit!

That pond would be welcome here. I always wanted a creek or pond or running water and a place with a view and it seems like that is your place. I enjoyed your photos, a lot.

When I was a principal, we got a grant to build a pond on our playground. It had natural surroundings with plants native to our area (well, native until the housing tracts went up). We used it as a teaching tool for upper grade students and a place of relaxation for all classes. Oh, by the way, this was in the inner city. Many of our kids never say natural surroundings. - Margy
