Interesting. I haven't seen any exactly like these with the newspaper holes beneath the mail boxes...but I don't understand why they would put mailboxes out in the open with no locks...
They kind of remind me of these hostels I've heard of in Asia (Japan?). They're just holes in a wall, like the newspaper ones here (only person-size) and you climb into the hole, pull a curtain closed behind you, and sleep. Lends a whole new meaning to a little "hole in the wall" place. :)
I have never see a row of mailboxes like that... Very interesting!!!! Reminded me of the time I lived in an apartment and our mailboxes were all lined up in a central spot...
Your fairy is called Columbine Goblindancer She is a bringer of riches and wealth. She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows. She is only seen when the bees swarm and the crickets chirrup. She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.

The mailboxes are also attractive, which I can't say for most of the group mailboxes I've seen! Nice photo!
It would suck to back into that, not that I have ever backed into anyones mailbox. :-)

When I see a bunch of mailboxes together like that, I always wonder how often the mail gets mixed up and put in the wrong box.

Interesting mailboxes. You would have thought they would have used the locking kind. At least they look nice and neat.
I would guess that these mail boxes precede a high end development, quite classy actually.

Thanks for sharing.

I'm not sure what to think, but I love the rock!
I see eight mailboxes there. I guess if a ninth house goes in they get their own.
I see an electronic key pad there. Do they have to put in a code to open the box? Why are two hanging open? Makes me wonder, wonder, wonder...
Did you open a few, or was it a careless postal delivery-person?
This sure is different and more attractive than the community mailboxes we have in my part of East Gwillimbury.
Everyone here used to collect their mail at the local post office until a few years ago. We've never had door-to-door delivery in our village.
hee hee hee ....
No doubt they are full of credit card offers...
I love the two mailboxes being open...kinda like they were caught with their 'drawers' down! tee hee! Very amusing pic!
